Black Friday is considered the biggest shopping event of the year, with practically every retailer offering big deals for the holiday season.

To get shoppers excited for these mega sales, retailers begin dropping their Black Friday ads as soon as October with early deals that you can score now.

Walmart is no exception. It it traditionally holds early holiday shopping events in the weeks leading up to Black Friday. This include price cuts across its massive product line of toys, fashion, electronics, home goods and more.

But what really gets shoppers excited is the release of the Walmart Black Friday ad. This reveals some of the best prices of the year on all the must-have gifts of the season.

Here’s when we anticipate the Walmart Black Friday ad for 2023 will be released for the holidays.

When will the Walmart Black Friday ad release for 2023?

We believe that the Walmart Black Friday ad will be here sooner rather than later.

In 2022, the retailer released its Black Friday ad on October 19.

We expect the Walmart Black Friday 2023 ad to drop around October 17-20. But we wouldn’t be surprised if the ad was revealed earlier as more retailers are trending toward even earlier holiday sales this year.

When did the Walmart Black Friday ad release last year? When did Walmart start early Black Friday deals?

Our predication for when Walmart will release its Black Friday 2023 ad is based off the last three ad reveals from the retailer.

In 2020, Walmart launched its ad on October 14, along with a new Black Friday shopping event dubbed “Deals for Days.” This tiered sale introduced a slew of early deals for holiday shoppers, kicking off Black Friday earlier than ever before.

In 2021, Walmart dropped its Black Friday ad on October 18 and in 2022, the ad debuted on October 19.

Do Walmart+ members get an extra discount on Black Friday deals?

No, Walmart+ members don’t receive an extra discount when shopping Walmart’s Black Friday sales.

However, Walmart + members do get early access to Walmart’s Black Friday deals online. Last year, Walmart+ members were able to access deals online seven hours before the general public during all of Walmart’s holiday shopping events.

Walmart+ membership also receive an array of perks all year-round, including free delivery, fuel savings, streaming on Paramount+, mobile Scan & Go access and more. Walmart also offers a 30-day free trial of its membership when signing up.

What can I expect from Walmart’s Black Friday 2023 ad?

We can make some educated guess about what will appear in the Walmart Black Friday for 2023 based on previous years.

• Apple products, such as AirPods, iPads and Watches will most likely have price cuts as they have in past years.
• Smart TVs should once again take center stage as one of the most discounted items of the holidays shopping season.
• Robot vacuums are also expected to be on sale this year.
• Small kitchen appliances, including air fryers, Instant pots and indoor electric grills, are anticipated to have big discounts.
• No holiday season would be complete without markdowns on toys and we don’t expect a departure from this trend this year. Price drops are expected on top toys from Barbie, Lego, Nerf, Hot Wheels and other popular brands.
